Torii Wolf, the talented singer/songwriter from Wantagh, New York will be releasing her debut album Flow Riiot on September 29th via DJ Premier’s TTT (To The Top) imprint. It will be executive produced by the legendary producer,Premo doesn’t handle production duties on this one King Of Chill cooked up that gritty beat, but he does lend his sampling and scratching talents towards the end of the song, similar to the role he played on Kanye’s “Everything I Am.”.
DJ Premier is first ballot hip-hop Hall of Fame, no debate. But throughout his career, he’s never been afraid to step outside of the box (see: Limp Bizkit, Christina Aguilera, Miguel). Over the last year or so, Premo has been working closely with rising Los Angeles singer Torii Wolf, whose music he calls “weird and wicked.” That’s definitely an accurate description of her new single “Free,” which features a guest verse from Macklemore.
