Syd released impressive solo debut album Fin back in February, but she isn’t finished there. Today the tender-voiced Internet frontwoman announced a new “feature soundtrack” (I’m sure we’ll found out what that means soon) called Always Never Home, dropping on September 8. If there was any doubt that she’s sitting on a batch of new heat, allow the first double single “Bad Dream/No Looking Back” to crank the temperature.
“Bad Dream” was produced by Gwen Bunn while Ricci Riera (Drake “U Wit Me?,” Travi$ Scott “SDP Interlude,” Kendrick Lamar “ELEMENT.”) cooked up the second half of the son,It’s unclear at the moment if that is a new solo album, or something else. It’s worth noting that there appears to be no previously announced film by that title. For now, enjoy the slinky new song, which would fit right at home on Syd’s excellent debut solo album.
