Sy Ari Da Kid clearly reaped the benefits of his “wire transfer from Birdman,” and came through with a dope followup mixtape 2 Weeks No Diss. The New York artist has been silently putting the game on lockdown over the past quarter, setting thing off with solid album 2Soon, and now bringing out a fifteen track project two months later. While Sy Ari has yet to really explode as a household name in the mainstream, his consistent work ethic and keen ear for melodies and beats set him apart from the run-of-the-mill mixtape rapper.
Hell, Sy Ari managed to secure a bag from the Cash Money mogul himself, Birdman. And while the artist formerly known as Baby has faced criticism for his ongoing on again/off again legal dispute with Lil Wayne, he seems to doing alright by Sy Ari. Either way, the music has yet to be compromised, as evidenced by standout cut “Bet Some.”
