OVO Sound signee Roy Woods has remixed 21 Savage’s Issa joint “Whole Lot.” While Savage blessed the beat with his monotone murderer’s delivery, Woods opts an airy, melodic presence. The Metro Boomin’ instrumental is a great backdrop for Roy Woods to flex on, showing off some vocal chops as he glides into falsetto and half-sings, half-raps some bars.
If you loved Metro’s production but weren’t feeling 21 Savage’s rhymes, this might be your cup of tea. Aside from an unintentionally funny “like an annnnnnnnt” ad lib, Roy Woods does a nice job of holding it down. Stay tuned for Woods’ upcoming album Say Less.
