Born Samuel Achema, Psalmurai is arguably the nicest Nigerian emcee on the mic. With a pedigree of over ten years spent rolling with the realest HipHop group The Kalifate.
After two albums with The Kalifate, he decided to pursue a solo career and he was able to garner some serious radio airplay with his series of end-of-the-year tracks which also got him the Dr.Gee-acclaimed title of ‘Rap Up King’.
Psalmurai is a graduate of Fine Art from the Yaba College of Technology Lagos. He lists Nas, Mos Def, Last Emperor, KRS One, Canibus, Tupac, Elzhi, Evidence,T ribe Called Quest,Mobb Deep, Lauren Hill, Cross Movement, Coldplay, Travis and Keane as his musical influences.
