Kevin Gates was expected to be released from jail this week and now he’s officially a free man.
The By Any Means 2 rapper was scheduled for release earlier this morning and TMZ reports that things went smoothly with no surprise warrants waiting for him this time.
Gates is currently out on parole and under mandatory supervision for the time being after serving nine months of his 30-month sentence. He’s also banned from owning any firearms.
The talented artist now plans to help at-risk youth avoid the mistakes he’s made with a new community-minded venture.
