J. Cole has tweeted that his new album is out this Friday (April 20). While he hasn’t shared many details beyond the release date, he tweeted the announcement with the abbreviation “KOD.” Pitchfork has reached out to his representatives for more information. Earlier tonight, J. Cole announced a surprise show in New York City where phones and cameras were prohibited. According to Miss Info, the event was a listening party for the new album.
His last album was in 2016 “4 Your Eyes Only”, which was accompanied by an HBO documentary. Earlier this week, a new snippet of J. Cole music appeared in an ESPN NBA commercial. Watch it below.
