Someone shares hers…read below!
I once had an encounter with a fat woman on a bus. I got the last seat and half my butt had nowhere to rest. The womanon the first seat was large and had more than her fair share of space. This was obviously unfair to me but I didn’t see what I could do,that wouldn’t embarrass her. She must have been aware she was inconveniencing the rest of usbecause she kept pretending to move.
She kept checking on me apologetically. As a woman, I know we’ve all had struggles with our bodies and not everything is an attack on our rights. In that moment, it was not her fault. In that moment, there was nothing she could do. I pitied her and in a different world I would have told her that her struggles could be over in weeks. I would have given her the easiest key to weight loss and given her all the tips many of our clients swear by. I would have kept in touch with her to see her progress, and in 10 weeks, I’d have been rewarded with a grateful hug. But this was a public bus; so I rode in discomfort, wanting to tell her so badly that she didn’t have to struggle with her body when she could shape it.
