DJ Khaled and Drake have given music lovers catchy radio anthems like “I’m On One,” “No New Friends,” and last year’s “(F*ck Me) For Free.” Khaled and the 6 God keep thecollaborative chemistry going with their newsingle, “To the Max.” First announced last Friday (Jun. 2), the record is set to appear on DJ Khaled’s tenth studio album Grateful, due this summer. The lead track from the album, “I’m The One,” which features Quavo, Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne, has already gone platinum and debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 chart.
“To the Max” follows “Shining” featuringBeyoncé and JAY Z, which landed No. 1 on Urban radio and Khaled’s first-ever Hot 100 chart-topper “I’m the One” with Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil’ Wayne, Khaled also posted a teaser video onInstagram to promote the single. In it, the producer can be heard asking his son Asahd the infamous question, “Did the Drake vocals come in yet?” Asahd is also featured on thesingle’s cover art with his hands in the air as he beams toward the camera.
