BlocBoy JB’s career has catapulted to new heights in a matter of months. While he’s been putting in his work in Memphis for a minute, the release of his Drake collaboration, “Look Alive” helped him garner the attention of some of the biggest artists in hip hop. Aside from climbing to the top on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Look Alive,” he tapped 21 Savage for “Rover 2.0” and recently joined A$AP Rocky on the first official single off Testing, “Bad Company. BlocBoy JB holds things down on a solo tip with his new song, “Prod By Bloc.” The latest single showcases his talents go past rapping and into dancing and production as well. It’s a minimalist beat with simple percussion progression as he bounces all over the beat. Of course, the music video wouldn’t be complete without his famous “Shoot” dance that Lil Uzi Vert’s been pulling while on stage.
