Members of the hip-hop community react to the news of XXXTentacion’s passing.
As we all prayed that XXXTentacion would make it through the reported shooting that happened earlier today, he was, unfortunately, pronounced dead. XXX offered so much to the hip-hop community and while his past is certainly controversial, his most committed fans saw past any of the negativity to focus on the beautiful art he created. Thankfully, X has left behind a strong legacy, featuring a number 1 album, over a billion streams and a discography that we can continuously look back on. However, with so much talent that was left untapped, XXXTentacion’s passing is tragic, horrific and so incredibly untimely.
With so much musical versatility, X could truly do it all. He could rap, sing and scream and somehow, he always sounded good no matter how he performed. The rapper was reportedly shot in Florida while shopping for a new motorcycle and he did not make it through the damages. As we all pray for his family, friends, and collaborators, we look back on what XXX left for us to enjoy. His “brother” Ski Mask The Slump God was one of the first to react to the news, letting out a visceral cry of “WHAT THE FUCKKKKK” but so many others have responded to the fatal shooting.
We have rounded up some reactions from our hip-hop family below. XXXTentacion may have passed but his music lives on and he will not be forgotten. RIP XXX.

Regardless of what XXXTentacion has done in the past … to see people crack jokes is beyond disrespectful. Y’all parents have failed y’all .
