Wiki – Pretty Bull

Wiki, former frontman of New York rap crew RATKING (which it’s safe to assume is pretty much over at this point), continues his successful run as a solo artist by signing a new deal with XL Recordings. Wiki is no stranger to the UK indie label having teamed up with them to release RATKING’s first EP back in 2012, and the first order of business on his new/old home is the groovy “Pretty Bull,” which feels as fresh as some of Wiki.

Hak and Sporting Life’s early stuff. The song comes correct with a video that finds the gap-toothed rapper and his crew turning the local bodega into The Tunnel, because that’s “the type of shit that Wiki do.” It’s always nice when these tracks drop in tandem with a video, as the visual component often helps to flesh out the song’s overall vibe. In this Ben Solomon directed clip, Wiki roams the streets, serves up some comfort food, and turns up at a raucous bash Clearly.
