K.Dot opens up this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Equipped with the most nominations of the night at a number of eight, he took to the stage in Los Angeles’ Forum, not too far away from his local stomping grounds of Compton, California to deliver on a medley of his standout tracks “HUMBLE.” and “DNA.”
The performance included his now-signature martial arts motif as the stage was engulfed in flames as ninjas climbed a wall of fire.
The remainder of the night continued to live up to the hype as K.Dot walked away with six of his eight nominations, including wins for Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Direction, and Video Of The Year.
All six wins were for his “HUMBLE.” visual, directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies, the creative direction duo made up of Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free.
Kendrick is currently embarking on the second leg of his DAMN. tour alongside YG, and will conclude on Saturday (September 2) in Miami.
