Sean Paul connects with Tory Lanez on “Tek Weh Yuh Heart.”
Sean Paul quietly released two songs last night: “No Lie” feat. Dua Lipa and “Tek Weh Yuh Heart” feat. Tory Lanez.
Paul has criticized the proliferation of dancehall in popular American and Canadian music — “It is a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-orientated music but don’t credit where dancehall came from and they don’t necessarily understand it” — but he has evidently made an exception for Lanez, whose parents emigrated to Canada from the Caribbean. After contributing a verse to the official remix of “LUV,” Paul invites Lanez to spice up “Tek Weh Yuh Heart.”
