OPINION!! Kizz Daniel’s “Pour Me Water” Video Concept Didn’t Follow The Content In The Song

As the visual of the “Pour Me Water” by Kizz Daniel hit 1.7 million on YouTube we have decided to review it here

Without sentiment, I will like to admit that “Pour Me Water” is a good tune and well-delivered sound. The song is perfect and it’s obvious it’s an instant hit, no one would argue that. But what about the video?

Pour Me Water” happens to be the first track of Barnabas EP and the second song to be visualised after “Lie“.

I’m not writing this to discredit the work of the director as it clearly my opinion and my perspective having watched the video.

I’ve at least watched this video more than 10 times from beginning to the end and I still stand on the fact that the concept didn’t go with the song.

Watch The Video Below

Why The Video Didn’t Follow The Song Content

How did they even get to the conclusion of using the forest as the background? Forest

A love song and a forest background is a NO No for me, it doesn’t relate. The song is all about insecurity, lack of trust, communication in a relationship so why are the directors getting it wrong?

This is a very dry background selection.

A music video should be well explanatory of the said song, we have seen T Classic’s “Don’t Call Me Back” video. That’s a perfect example of a video that speaks well of its song.

Even Omah Lay’s Understand video still pass the message to us. I guess the motive is to make not to understand as used in the lyrics.

I drop my pen here!
