Long Beach rapper O.T. Genasis has come forth to share his latest endeavor. “Cash On It” finds O.T. sliding a creeping trap instrumental, opting to deliver an anchored, sturdy flow. Thematically, the title gives away the game, as Genasis reflects on things he can and will put the cash on. Several such options include “dat ass,” white gold Philippes, new Jeeps, and of course, the new strap. Repeating the titular refrain over a playful chime arpeggio, Genasis’ banger plays out like somewhat of a nursery rhyme.
“I ain’t next to ya’ll, get a check and ball,” raps O.T, “ass real fat, that cholesterol.” Clearly, the man’s got jokes. Should you find yourself tired of repetitive, vibe-over-lyrics hip-hop, you might want to skip out on this one. But should you be seeking a mindless, ignorant banger of the highest order, O.T. Genasis more than has you covered.
