Blocboy JB is practically inevitable at this point. With the arrival of his Drake-assisted “Look Alive” track, it’s likely that we’re going to hear a lot from the Memphis native this year and we’ll more than likely get a slew of other emcees hopping on the Tay Keith-produced beat for their own takes. Getting in on the wave early is another southern upstart just a few hundred miles southeast of JB in the form of the Atlanta-bred Deante’ Hitchcock.
