Davido, Dbanj and other Celebrities Pray for Burna Boy to Bring Home Grammy Award
Davido, Dbanj and other Celebrities Pray for Burna Boy to Bring Home Grammy Award: Today, January 26, 2020, may go down as one of the biggest days in the history of music in Nigeria if Damini Ogulu alias Burna Boy is announced the winner of the category he was nominated for in the 62nd Grammy Awards.
For months now or should we say since Burna Boy was nominated for the Grammys in 2019, Nigerians including those who don’t follow the music business and those who do, already have their eyes fixed at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the United States of America where the annual award is scheduled to hold tonight.
Recall that in November 2019, the Grammy Academy nominated Burna Boy’s “Africa Giant” album for the category of Best World Music Album.
The category is for albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental World Music recordings.
Burna Boy’s Africa Giant is competing with Altin Gün for Gece, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D’ayiti.
Others in the category are; Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for their album titled What Heat, and Angelique Kidjo for her album titled Celia.
Burna Boy’s colleagues back home in Nigeria are already expecting the Afrobeats star to return to the country with the prestigious award.
Congrats in advance fam !!! ! Big weekend for you ! It’s already yours in Jesus name … #Grammys
